Providing Housing and Fine Furnishings for the Fairy Folk
Lucille Miles began creating fairy houses in 2002 to provide her young, fairy - loving daughter a natural and fanciful dollhouse. Within a short time she was selling her creations to select stores around the country, and augmenting the domiciles with delightful furnishings and adorable needle felted creatures from the world of fey.
She collects the bulk of her building materials on ambles through the forest while collecting mushrooms and exercising her two Jack Russell terriers. She studied landscape architecture and advertising art in school, working in the advertising world and at a magazine in New York, semi-retiring to become a full time mother, volunteer, and children’s librarian and children’s book specialist. You can witness her wonder
and whimsy in the gnomes, fairies, mermaids, trolls, and mushroom men she forms from wool.
